The Infrared Technology

Before the Diedrich Roaster, coffee was almost entirely roasted in fluid-bed or drum roasters utilizing atmospheric/blue flame burners. This combination of technologies roasted coffee using dirty effluent gasses created in the combustion process as it’s roast air medium.  Not only did this practice create a vast amount of noxious gasses, but it facilitated a crude production process whereby the operator had very little capability to manipulate the complex chemistry of the coffee throughout the roast process to create refined roast profiles.  This was the old way of roasting coffee, and surprisingly, is still the way nearly all our competitors’ machines are constructed.

Since its origin Diedrich Manufacturing has employed in its roasters a proprietary roasting technology that utilizes ceramic infrared burners and heat exchangers to not only dramatically reduce noxious gas emissions and provide for a cleaner roasting medium, but also to make possible entirely new vistas of roasting capabilities through the precise control of the roasting process from start to finish.  Simply put, with a Deidrich roaster, not only are your operations cleaner, but you have the ability to create roast profiles unimaginable using other machines.

Dessa rostar är framtagna för att kunna stå inuti en butik eller liknande. Dels för att storleken gör att de inte värmer upp omgivningen så mycket och att ventilation tar inte lika mycet plats som våra "Commercial Rosters"

These roasters are built to be used "in store". Therefore they emit less heat to the sorroundings. Also the the footprint is smaller with much more simpel ducting than our commercial rosters.
